High-Performance Inverter Transformers Tailored to Your Application

An inverter transformer is a type of transformer used in inverter circuits, specifically in devices that convert direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). It combines the functions of both an inverter and a transformer, making its working principle relatively simple. The inverter transformers manufactured by Shenzhen Kunyo are suitable for both low-power and high-power circuits.

Due to their compact and lightweight design, inverter transformers offer significant advantages when used on circuit boards.

Like conventional transformers, an inverter transformer consists of a primary winding and a secondary winding. When AC current flows through the primary winding, switching actions occur, allowing the transformer to regulate the voltage supplied to the connected equipment.

In addition, the magnetic core of the transformer has bipolar characteristics, and since inverter transformers typically use small cores, only a few winding turns are needed to achieve the required power for the application. This makes inverter transformers highly advantageous in many device applications.

Characteristics and Construction of InverterTransformer

We are a leading expert in the field of custom magnetic components. With years of experience, our team specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom inverter transformers tailored to meet our customers’ specific requirements. Our inverter transformers are designed to operate at input frequencies of up to 350kHz and support flyback construction. Mounting options include both PCB pin mounting and surface-mount (SMD) installation.

For custom transformers, the magnetic core is typically the most critical material. At Kunyo, we source our cores from industry-leading magnetic material suppliers. The cores used in our inverter transformers are ferrite cores, which are composed of dense, homogeneous ceramic-based, non-metallic magnetic materials. These cores are made from iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) combined with one or more metal oxides or carbonates—such as manganese, zinc, nickel, or magnesium. The raw ferrite materials are pressed, sintered at 1300°C, and then precisely machined to meet the performance demands of the final application.

Since inverter transformers function as switching transformers, their structure and design techniques align closely with those used in switching power supplies. The size and shape of an inverter transformer are determined by its total output power and operating frequency, while also taking into account the specific application requirements of the customer’s end product.

Application of Inverter Transformer

Shenzhen Kunyo offers custom-designed inverter transformers tailored to a wide range of power conversion applications. Our inverter transformers are known for their flexibility, broad applicability, and durability, making them increasingly favored by customers across industries. We maintain a strict quality control system to ensure the reliability and performance of every product.

Inverter transformers are compact, robust in structure, energy-efficient, and high-performing. These advantages make them widely used in various fields, such as UPS systems, elevator equipment, industrial control panels, wind turbines, power plants, and photovoltaic grids.
